3 Things to Consider About Multiculturalism

A Multicultural Church Sydney is a foretaste of God’s family that we'll experience for eternity. Doing multicultural ministry is a gift, for it gives us an eternal glimpse.
1.    The Kingdom of God represents the multiculturalism.
The church is called upon to be both a symbol and an instrument of God's kingdom. It is an instrument of God's kingdom, and it is the agent of God of the world who reveals and shares Jesus' word to a broken and suffering world.
2.    Multicultural ministry is difficult
If you're going to engage in multicultural ministry then you're going to hurt the feelings of someone or hurt your feelings. Different cultures have different pressure points which are often unknown to external ones. Conflict is inevitable so we should apologize and move on when it happens.
3.    There are different aspects to racial diversity and cultural diversity.
If a local church really wants to represent God's people, it must try to attract people beyond the prevailing race or ethnicity that fill its pews, and include them. The People of God are a diverse people and this reality should be reflected in our local churches. However, racial diversity is very distinct from cultural diversity.
A Multicultural Church Sydney is not only about skin color, but about communities interacting consciously and effectively. Churches which are racially diverse can be as religiously homogeneous as churches lacking in racial diversity.
A Multicultural Church Sydney is not one where a variety of people from different parts of Asia are simply engaged. A multicultural church is one that involves not only a variety of Asian peoples but a variety of Asian cultures as well.
